“Sorry to wake you. I… got your note.”
“Look, Hawkeye…”
“It’s okay. Are we still friends?”
“Sure.”
“Trapper—don’t do anything stupid, please. No requesting a transfer or telling Henry?”
“Of course not, Hawk.”
“Thanks for being honest.”
“You’re welcome. Any time.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. Those shoes look horrible with that outfit.”
“You think so? I thought they went quite well.”
“You know I wouldn’t lie to you.”
“All forgiven and forgotten, then?”
“What’s to forgive?”
“Well, for starters…”
“You were honest with me. I was honest with you. We’re good—still friends. Now go to sleep.”
